John brings over 20 years of leadership and experience to this new role. Over the past 6 years, he has dedicated his efforts to the federal market, leading and developing teams that support federal customers and their missions.
John joined Axon in 2022 and led the Federal Civilian Sales team for the past two years and had a tremendous passion for Axon’s mission and the connection to our federal customers. John believes it is a privilege to wake up every day with the opportunity to serve those who serve our nation. The men and women in the U.S. Federal Government perform amazing tasks to fulfill their missions and protect us all. John is dedicated to supporting them in that effort.
Prior to joining Axon, he spent 17+ years with Verizon and held many leadership positions across the U.S., supporting all markets from consumer to enterprise to public sector. At the time he left Verizon, he was the Associate Vice President of Federal Civilian and was responsible for a team of over 200 people and a $1.5B market for Verizon Business.
John is thrilled about the opportunity to deliver new technologies to federal customers, helping to modernize the tools that support their crucial missions.
Equally important to him is fostering a strong team culture. His goal is to create environments that empower individuals and unlock their potential, providing them with the chance to participate in meaningful work and achieve levels of success they once thought unattainable.
John originally attended the University of Utah with a focus on Civil and Environmental Engineering, He graduated with a BA in Organizational Leadership from ASU.
