Rob Smith

Rob currently serves as the Vice President Sales and General Manager – US Public Sector at GitLab. Rob is a seasoned technology executive with over 25 years of experience leading solution sales teams and business units that deliver mission value through SaaS platform solutions. Throughout his career, he has built and scaled high-performing go-to-market teams in both startup, pre-IPO, and publicly traded organizations.

Rob’s career began in management consulting, where he honed his expertise in business process management, program management, product development, and enterprise change management across abroad range of clients. These formative experiences became the cornerstone of his leadership style one built on trust, cross-functional collaboration, and servant leadership.

Rob is an avid golfer and loves working out, surfing, and walking.
