April Fonrdyce
April Fordyce is the National Security & Defense Portfolio Lead for Slalom and a seasoned federal consulting leader with more than 15 years of experience. She’s a strategic, client-centered advisor who brings calm, clarity, and pragmatic technical judgment to complex national security challenges. April is known for building collaborative, cross-functional teams that bridge technical and programmatic disciplines, cultivating trusted client relationships, and mentoring talent across levels. Her deep mission experience spans the Department of Homeland Security, Department of Justice, and Department of Defense, — supporting organizations including CISA, CBP, USSS, FEMA, DHS HQ, DOJ/FBI, the US Air Force, and the Navy — where she has led technology advisory, advanced analytics, and intelligent automation efforts to improve mission outcomes.
Before joining Slalom’s federal team, April served as a Director at Guidehouse (formerly PwC Public Sector), where she led Technology Advisory and Advanced Analytics teams supporting homeland security and law-enforcement customers. Earlier in her career she held analytic and scientific roles at the Henry M. Jackson Foundation (Research Assistant supporting the Naval Medical Research Center), the Center for Molecular Nutrition and Sensory Disorders (Biochemist), and GEICO (Predictive Analytics / Underwriting), experiences that shaped her disciplined, evidence-driven approach to problem solving. A certified PMP and Scrum Master, April combines a curiosity for emerging analytics and automation with deep federal acquisition and delivery experience, and she remains an active mentor and firmwide leader in technical communities. She holds a B.S. in Mathematics, Chemistry, and Biology from the University of Redlands.
