Daniel Zubairi

Daniel F. Zubairi is the Founder, President, and Managing Director of SydanTech, which he established in 2000 with a mission to deliver expert information assurance and cybersecurity solutions to the U.S. Government and private sector. Under his leadership, SydanTech has grown from a one-person cybersecurity consultancy into a multimillion-dollar enterprise recognized on the Inc. 100,  serving numerous federal agencies with a broad portfolio of security, technology, and management services.

SydanTech’s first major contract was awarded in October 2001, in the immediate aftermath of the 9/11 attacks. Mr. Zubairi led the effort to design, build, and manage the Department-wide Computer Incident Response Team and Cybersecurity Operations for the U.S. Department of Commerce and its 12 bureaus—serving as both Program Manager and Subject Matter Expert. Since then, SydanTech has expanded to multiple agencies including the Department of Homeland Security, US Army, Department of Agriculture, US US Coast Guard, and other agencies.

Since then, Mr. Zubairi has guided SydanTech’s expansion into a wide range of technology services supporting both civilian and defense sectors across the federal government. Over the past two decades, he has built trusted relationships throughout the public and private sectors, serving as a strategic advisor to Governors, Cabinet-level officials, Members of Congress, federal CIOs, and senior executives.

Mr. Zubairi has held the Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification since 2002 and the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification since 2006. He earned his Bachelor of Science from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC).

Outside of work, Mr. Zubairi is a dedicated long-distance swimmer and has volunteered for many years as a lifesaving instructor with Montgomery County, Maryland. He is also a 20+ year practitioner of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, a discipline that reflects his lifelong commitment to focus, resilience, and continuous personal growth—principles that guide his leadership philosophy. Mr. Zubairi resides in Maryland with his wife and their two young children, where he is deeply committed to both family life and community service.
