Marty has more than 30 years of management experience in Federal Information Technology and was recognized in 2019 as a Fed100 awardee.
Prior to founding Chermar, he was President and Chief Growth Officer for the Ambit Group, after serving for five years as the CEO of Integrated Support Systems, Inc, where he led the company’s operational and business development functions.
Marty’s career includes service at Deep Water Point (DWP) Consulting, where he was responsible for bringing together companies with the appropriate market specialists and subject matter experts (SMEs) to develop deeper customer relationships, and eight years as the Vice President for Strategic Market Development for Daon, a global leader in the field of biometrics and identity management software solutions.
Marty also served as the first Vice President for Homeland Security for AT&T Government Solutions for several years. He joined AT&T from TRW, where he spent close to 16 years in various business development and management positions. Marty has served on the Federal Board of Directors for the Information Technology Association of America, the Board of Trustees for the Fairfax County Education Foundation, and the Board of Directors for the Nuclear Information and Records Management Association, including one term as Vice President.
Marty is an active Fellow in ACT-IAC, having graduated from their Partners program. He also served as the Co-Chair for ACT-IAC’s Voyagers program, sharing his experience with younger members of the organization and serving as a mentor.
Marty earned a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from the University of Southern Mississippi. He distinguished himself as an Officer in the U.S. Marine Corps and was recalled to active duty during Operation Desert Storm.
