Vivek Malhotra

As President, Vivek manages all operational areas of Xcelerate Solutions and maintains our core values by building a sustainable infrastructure, bringing even more of a customer focus to our project efforts and ensuring Xcelerate Solutions continues to be an employer of choice. Vivek is a proven leader with more than 17 years of senior leadership and technical experience in providing IT services to both government and private sector customers. He is also a visionary and creative leader, helping bring dimension and differentiation to every project he supports. With this perspective, he helps to ensure Xcelerate brings a fresh and differentiated approach to the work we do for customers. He is active in the government contracting and IT space, maintaining a broad and diverse network across agencies, technologies, and the business community.

Vivek Malhotra co-founded VMD in 2002, which has merged with Xcelerate as of February 2024. Prior to co-founding VMD, he served as a technical manager at Titan Secure Solutions (now part of L-3 Technologies), and a former Oracle technical consultant. Vivek is an avid technology investor and advisor to start-ups in the government contracting arena and beyond.

He holds a Master of Science in Computer Science from Johns Hopkins University and undergraduate degrees in Electrical Engineering from Washington University and Computer Science from Knox College.
